Who We Are
Saint Mary’s English Charismatic Prayer Group (SMECPG) is a vibrant, Spirit-led community serving St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 45 years. Rooted in prayer, fellowship, and service, we gather as one family every week to encounter God, deepen our faith, and intercede for the needs of our parish and the world.
We are more than a prayer group — we are a home, a family, and a community of believers united in the love of Christ.
Our Mission
To lead souls into a deeper relationship with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit by fostering prayer, praise, worship, and acts of service. We exist to uplift, encourage, intercede, and spiritually support all who seek God’s presence.
Our Vision
To be a beacon of hope at St. Mary’s Church — a place where individuals and families encounter healing, transformation, and a renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We envision a community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, spiritually nourished, and empowered to live out their Catholic faith.
Our Weekly Gathering
Every Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, join us for a powerful time of prayer and renewal. Each meeting is structured to lead members step-by-step into a deeper spiritual encounter:

- Intercessory Prayer
- Fellowship
Our preaching is delivered by trained internal preachers, and periodically by visiting priests from St. Mary’s Church and beyond.
Our Ministries
SMECPG is strengthened by dedicated ministries working together in unity, love, and service:
- Intercessory Ministry: Over 80 members meet weekly to pray for the needs of individuals, families, our parish, and global intentions.
- Word Ministry: A team of anointed preachers who prepare Spirit-led messages grounded in Scripture.
- Healing & Deliverance Ministry: Offering prayer support and spiritual strengthening after every meeting.
- Reach Out Ministry: Extending Christ’s compassion through groceries, food drives, and assistance to those in need.
- Youth & Teens Ministry: A dynamic ministry that nurtures young hearts in faith, leadership, and service.
- Kids Ministry: Running parallel to our meetings, providing faith formation for children through storytelling and activities.
- Service Ministry: Preparing the venue, welcoming members, and supporting logistics for every meeting.
- Music Ministry: Leading Spirit-filled worship and selecting hymns that uplift and inspire.
- Media Ministry: Managing audio-visuals, announcements, and creative materials for the prayer group.
Cell Groups & Member Support
To stay connected as a family, we operate location-based cell groups, each led by trained leaders who minister to members, encourage participation, provide prayer support, and assist newcomers in integrating into the group. This ensures every soul feels seen, known, and spiritually supported.
Supporting St. Mary’s Church
As a long-standing ministry at St. Mary’s, we actively support parish activities through GCCRS participation, Pentecostal rallies, Hour of Mercy prayers, daily Rosary on Zoom, and a 60-member chain fasting team interceding for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
We remain deeply grateful for the guidance of our Spiritual Director and parish priests, especially Father Lenny, whose leadership continues to inspire and strengthen us.
